OKX registration and verification

1. Account Registration

1.1. Open the OKX App and press Get Started to create your account.

1.2. Enter your email address in the Email field and press Sign up.

1.3. Check your email for the six-digit registration verification code that OKX automatically sent you. You will have 10 minutes to enter the verification code into the Enter code field. When you've done so, press Next to continue.

1.4. Choose a password to protect your account and enter it in the Password field. Once you’re satisfied with your password, click Next.

💡 How can I keep my account secure?

Use a combination of numbers, letters, symbols, and lower and upper case when creating your password.

Never share your password with anyone, including people claiming to work for OKX.

Make sure you follow the best security practices when creating your account.
 

2. Account verification

You just registered your OKX account, congratulations!

Now let’s finish the quick Verification process that will allow you to freely buy and sell crypto on OKX.

2.1. To do it go to the OKX account dashboard by pressing the button with 9 dots in the upper-left corner. Open the Profile and settings menu.
 

2.2. Press the Identity verification button and select Basic verification. Press Verify to start the verification process.

2.3. You’ll be asked for some combination of your personal information, depending on your country. Fill in this data and press Submit.

2.4. If you’ve input information correctly, verification should be completed instantly. You’re now ready to start trading on OKX. Click the Start trading button to begin.
 

3. How to deposit USDT to OKX using your bank card

3.1. Before you buy $WIFI, you will need to deposit USDT.

💡 What is USDT? USDT or Tether is a cryptocurrency designed in such a way that the price of one USDT is always equal to $1. It’s like having digital dollars that you can use to buy other cryptocurrencies or trade on exchanges including OKX.

3.2. Select how much you’d like to purchase, and press Continue.

3.3. To get USDT you have two options:

- Buy using P2P Express directly from verified sellers

- Buy using Third Party provider

3.4. In this example, we will buy USDT using P2P Express. Out of all options, in our case, Payoneer offers the best price per USDT.

3.5. Preview the order details and press Confirm Order

3.6. You will have 10 minutes to make the payment before your order is cancelled. Check the details again and press Continue.

3.7. Follow the steps on the screen one by one. Once the payment is sent, press the Payment completed button.

3.8. Confirm the payment one more time. If you made the payment correctly, the purchased USDT will be transferred to your account within a few minutes.

4. Buying $WIFI using the OKX spot trading panel

To buy $WIFI we will need to activate the Pro mode.

4.1. Please go to the OKX account dashboard by pressing the button with 9 dots in the upper-left corner.

4.2. Press the Switch to Pro button to get access to Spot trading.

💡 In spot trading, you buy a stock or a cryptocurrency with your own money and wait for it to rise in value. Other ways to trade are when you buy or sell something for a future price or date, or when you borrow money to trade more than you have. Spot trading is safer and easier than other ways to trade, but it also makes less money and takes more time.

4.3. Right now, your funds (USDT that we purchased earlier) are located in the Funding account. Before we can start trading, let’s move your funds to your Trading account in the Assets menu.

4.4. In the Assets menu select Trading to view your Trading account balance. Press Transfer to transfer your USDT from the Funding account to the Trading account.

4.5. Choose that you want to transfer your funds from Funding to Trading. Select USDT in the Crypto field and the Amount of USDT you wish to transfer and press Confirm.

4.6. Now that we have money in our Trading account, we can finally buy $WIFI. To do this, let's go to the Trade menu.

4.7. You will see the Trading menu. First of all, we need to choose a WIFI / USDT trading pair.

4.8. Here you can select how much you’d like to pay for 1 $WIFI, and how much $WIFI you’d like to purchase. In our case, we are spending 50 USDT to purchase 830 $WIFI tokens. To place the buying order, press the Buy WIFI button.

4.9. Your order will appear in the Orders section below. Usually, it takes several minutes to find a seller and complete the $WIFI purchase. You will receive a notification from the OKX App once the purchase is complete.

💡 If your order remains open after 10 minutes or longer, we recommend you Cancel the order using the button in the bottom-right corner and place a new order by repeating the previous step.

4.10. Now go back to the Assets menu in the bottom right corner. You will find your $WIFI tokens in the My Portfolio menu.
